If you haven’t taken on an apprentice in the last 3 years, or if you are looking to recruit an apprentice for the first time then GEN II are able to offer a new Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE). The AGE is aimed at helping eligible employers to offer young people (16 – 24 yrs) employment through the Apprenticeship programme, by providing wage grants to employers to assist them in recruiting their first apprentice.

Up to 40,000* Apprenticeship Grants are available for small and medium size employers with a value of £1,500. Priority will be given to small-medium size employers with less than 50 employees, but grants may also be available for employers with up to 250 employees who may be recruiting their first or additional apprentices.
