It remains GEN II's strategic intent to be a provider of high quality education and training in nuclear and developing engineering technologies. To this end GEN II applied for and achieved Quality Assured Provider status for the National Skills Academy for Nuclear in 2008.
During 2009/2010 it is the company’s intent to continue discussions with both the National Skills Academy for Manufacturing and the National Skills Academy for Process Industries to approved provider status can enhance the company’s abilities to meet employer demands.
It is critical to GEN II that we support the relevant, employer governed, Sector Skills Councils (e.g. COGENT and SEMTA) in the delivery of their sector skills agreements. Whilst we will be looking to protect the core apprenticeship and training business, we will also be looking to expand the range of engineering and nuclear related products during 2009/10.
